It is the flagship television station of Hearst Television, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hearst Corporation. Since nearby Manchester is considered part of the Boston media market, WMUR, that city's ABC affiliate, is considered a sister station to WCVB-TV. WCVB-TV maintains studio and transmitter facilities located in Needham, Massachusetts.
